A 51-year-old female patient comes for her first consultation regarding a permanent state of anger against men. She is diagnosed as bipolar and takes mood regulators.
She mentions a rape at the age of 13 which will be found in the tissues, i.e. the active somatization corresponds precisely to this event.
Two months later, during the second session, she explains that her anger has clearly diminished and that it is lighter. She explains that she no longer pushes her children away when they hug her and that instead of being distant with her husband, she sticks with him all the time, holding his hand in front of the TV...
Her attitude has changed because the suffering has been lifted, and this without any voluntary work on her part. Everything was done in an unconscious way.
